Overview
Small poultry farms rely on evaporative cooling systems to control temperature and airflow inside their houses, so a fan malfunction can quickly become a serious animal welfare risk. This project built a smart notification system that uses infrared sensors to monitor the cooling fans in real time. When a fan failure is detected, the system automatically alerts the farm operator through three channels: a phone call, an SMS message, and a LINE application notification. The system was installed and field-tested at a poultry farm in the Chiang Mai area.
